In this painting, I wanted to capture a moment suspended between tradition and modernity: a young Tibetan monk discovering a camera for the very first time.
It’s not just an object in his hands, it’s an entire world, a new eye, a portal to other truths and unseen realities.
His red robe, symbol of spirituality and discipline, swirls around him, merging with the light emerging from the lens. It’s as if sacred wisdom and technology are blending, giving birth to a new kind of awakening.
Discovery celebrates the meeting of innocence and curiosity, of the inner world and the one we observe. A tribute to childhood that explores, to wisdom that wonders, and to the magic of a fresh perspective.
