In this painting, I captured the profile of an elderly Cambodian woman, her features carved by time, her silver hair like threads of memory. But what stands out is her upward gaze, eyes of deep blue, as if reaching for something far away, or perhaps deep within.
This is not a gaze fixed on the past, but one turned toward the future, quietly filled with hope and trust in what is still to come. Each wrinkle becomes a life path, and every glint in her eye, a promise still burning bright.
Hope is a tribute to the inner strength of those who have endured everything, yet still believe. In themselves. In tomorrow.
