OSMOSIS - The Rooted Soul of Ta Prohm
180x140cm (71x55in)
Acrylic on linen
This painting is a visual meditation on the sacred fusion of man, stone, and nature, inspired by the legendary King Jayavarman VII and the mystical Ta Prohm temple in Siem Reap.
The compassionate Buddhist king built temples as expressions of wisdom and healing. His gaze here is calm and eternal, watching over the forest like a silent guardian.
Surrounding him, the giant silk-cotton tree roots entwine the stones, not as invaders but as partners in preservation. At Ta Prohm, walls no longer stand alone, the jungle embraces them, wrapping the temple in a dance of time where nature doesn’t destroy, but completes.
This harmony between the spiritual power of the king and the gentle strength of the forest becomes a symbol of humility, decay turned to beauty, and greatness expressed through unity.
Osmosis pays tribute to the living memory of Cambodia, where history and nature are one.
